The lodge consists of 12 self contained bandas, spaciously placed between the indigenous bush. The rooms are built on a raised wooden platform and made from a fine combination of canvas and local materials. Huge mosquito netted windows allow a 180 degree view and ensures a close to nature experience. Each room has a private terrace overlooking the seasonal Kamera River. All bandas have an en suite bathroom with running water for your hand-basin, a flushing toilet and an outside shower with 24/7 hours hot water, where 2 showerheads allow couples to take their starlit shower together.

Self Contained Tent
For those who want to have some privacy and a real in the Bush experience, we now offer two self contained tents a little distance away from our lodge. Ideal for families as an extra tent can be placed on the adjacent platform. We recommend this accommodation for the adventurous and those who have their own transportation as walking to and from the main camp are not recommended during the night.

Non Self Contained Tent
Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge offers a budget friendly accommodation in the form of 10 non-self-contained tents. These are furnished with comfortable beds, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment. All tents are placed under a grass thatched roof which creates your private terrace and provides some welcome shade. The tents share a communal ablution block with showers and flushing toilets. No need to worry about linen as all bedding and towels are provide.

Restaurant & Bar
As to stay within the low impact safari concept, we have chosen for a large dining tent for our restaurant. The tent is set so to overlook the Kazinga Channel and to have the Rwenzori mountain range as a backdrop while enjoying our excellent food. In the evenings though, when weather allows, we take your table outside and organize a starlit dinner.

Paraffin lights and a campfire create a cozy setting from where your 4 course dinner will be served. Due to logistic reasons (quality products are difficult to get in the area and must come from Kampala) we work with set menus, but if you inform us on time, it will be our pleasure to cater to your request and dietary requirements.

Early wake up calls with coffee or tea, packed breakfasts or lunches can all be organized according to your planning of the day.
